The model manager, MIKE URBAN MM, is the core of the MIKE URBAN user interface. Using the wealth of features, the user efficiently goes through all phases of preparing the model input data as well as analysing and presenting results from the simulation engines.
MIKE URBAN MM is a complete modelling environment, which includes two simulation engines for collection system modelling and water distribution system modelling.
Model Manager includes:
- A GIS based model data management package for collection system networks and water distribution networks
- Feature-rich GIS functionality powered by ESRI’s ArcObjectsTM components. Populating and building model data from GIS data is simply made efficient, open and transparent
- Three options for storing model data: Personal Geodatabase (.mdb), File Geodatabase (.gdb) and SDE Geodatabase. The latter provides true versioning and multiuser support. All three options allow for viewing and editing data with ArcMap™.
- SWMM5: A public domain, dynamic storm water and sewer network model developed by US-EPA.
- EPANET: A public domain water distribution network model developed by US-EPA.
Among the tools and features that help improve the user efficiency are:
- Scenario manager
- Data validation, assignment and interpolation tool
- Catchment delineation tool
- Network simplification tool
- Geocoded load and demand allocation
- Temporal Analyst (see separate product description) for management, analysis and visualisation of measured or simulated time series data.
- Model results presentation through static and animated time series, profiles, maps, tables, statistics.
