Water Distribution (WD) modules
The WD components are based on DHI extensions to the worldwide standard EPANET engine. The basic WD components included in the Model Manager module are:
- Steady state simulations
- Extended period simulations
- Water quality simulations under extended period conditions
A number of engineering tools are provided with the Model Manager module:
Fire Flow Analysis- Allows rapid analysis of proposed water distribution system improvements to meet fire flow requirements.
- Calculates available flow for designed residual pressure
- Calculates residual pressure for designed flow
Demand Allocation and Distribution
- Sophisticated development of junction node demands based on CIS system
- Geocoding and aggregating of the consumption data
- Computes water demands for each node in the network system based upon several distribution methods
Water Quality Analysis - Blending water from different sources
- Age of water throughout a system
- Chlorine residuals
- Growth of disinfection byproducts
- Contaminant propagation
WD Tools (add-on module) The WD Tools add-on module provides a number of useful tools, which significantly enhance the water distribution part of MIKE URBAN Model Manager. The tools include:
- Automatic calibration of water distribution network models
- Advanced fire-flow tool for analysing the capacity of water distribution systems
- Advanced control simulation options for extended period simulations
