Below you will find a list of hotfixes available for MIKE by DHI 2011 products.

Please note:

  • You may need to install service packs for the software product in question prior to applying the hotfix

Hotfixes for Release 2011 incl. Service Pack 7

Below hotfixes all require that Service Pack 7 is installed prior to applying the hotfix.

Problem of requiring MIKE SHE licenses during MIKE 11 simulation resolved.

This hotfix is required when utilizing the Bed Resitance toolbox with tabulated (velocity, resistance) data.

This hotfix is required when using MIKE 11 Control Structures with gate types; ‘Underflow’ or ‘Radial Gate’, in combination with the Iterative solution Calculation Mode.

This hotfix solves a problem with failing import of a res11 file from a MIKE 11 setup to MIKE 11 GIS.

Oil Spill and Particle Tracking modelling: This hotfix is required when using the same particle class in different sources that are moving.

When using ice coverage in the SW model this hot-fix is required to model a receding ice coverage.

This hotfix solves an issue where landslide computations may fail if the time prior to the land slide event is long and the time step is very small.

This hot-fix is required when using the morphological module of MIKE 21C.

The MIKE 3 Digitization tool may occasionally have an abnormal completion. This hot-fix will remedy that.

MIKE BASIN

 

This fix solves a problem in the reservoir operation when a remote flow control rule is used in combination with "use minimum release" at the hydropower station.

MIKE BASIN Hotfix 12-01-2012 (1.0 MB)

MIKE SHE

 

This hotfix solves a problem in a MIKE SHE WM simulation with Two-Layer UZ and Irrigation + Snow Melt included. With this combination, the irrigation volume is added twice to the Overland component. An Overland water balance extraction shows a large water balance error corresponding to the irrigation volume. The error does not appear in a simulation without Snow Melt.

MIKE SHE Hotfix 16-04-2012 (6.1 MB)

This hotfix solves a problem in a long PT/AD simulation with cyclic WM input (or constant flow field) – when the WM model includes a time-varying boundary dfs2 file: An unintended validation of the WM boundary dfs2 file causes WQ to stop with an error message that the file does not cover the WQ simulation period. This unintended validation has now been disabled.

This hotfix is required for re-connecting the Load Allocations after using the Trimming option in the Simplification wizard.

This hotfix solves a problem with unit handling in the SWMMout2MVWin converter tool when converting SWMM runoff results to MOUSE runoff results.

MIKE URBAN Hotfix 29-03-2012 (1.2 MB)

This hotfix fixes the spatial tolerance for the Model Configuration tool in MIKE URBAN. The tolerance for reporting change of shapes now follows the tolerance of the geometric network.

MIKE URBAN Hotfix 27-03-2012 (825.5 KB)

This hotfix solves a problem in the computation of the Result Statistics for Water Quality in the Water Distribution mode. It is also required in some WD setups with specific control rules.

Corrected problem with import and export list of Nodes, Links and Catchments in SWMM [REPORT] section.

MIKE URBAN Hotfix 07-02-2012 (948.6 KB)

With service pack 7 it is required that the database and the files used in e.g. catchment processing have coordinate systems defined. This hotfix is required when doing e.g. catchment processing with user-defined coordinate systems (i.e. coordinate systems that are not supplied by ESRI).

This hotfix is required when utilizing the exponential smoothing for lateral links in MIKE FLOOD FM.

MIKE FLOOD Hotfix 06-10-2011 (2.4 MB)

MIKE URBAN

 

This hotfix is required when using a selection file in the “Load multiple configurations” of the simplification tool. It also fixes an issue when saving the configuration file for the simplification tool, if you specify a .mus selection as input.

This hotfix solves a problem with assigning temperature to runoff boundaries (from CRF file) as dfs0 time series.

This hotfix solves a problem with the ‘Merge Selected Polygons’ tool (catchment merging).

This hotfix corrects an issue where the simplification tool (merging and trimming options) may fail with an unhandled exception.

Below hotfixes all require that Service Pack 5 is installed prior to applying the hotfix.

MIKE BASIN

 

This hotfix resolves several issues with the river tracing tool and the catchment delineation tool particularly with respect to models that were created in MIKE BASIN 2009. Several problems when using the catchment delineating tool have been fixed: unexpected error messages, overlapping of reaches or catchment nodes being removed. Moreover, this hotfix solves a problem regarding the functionality of digitizing new catchments on an existing network.

This hotfix solves the problem of tracing river tool. A problem of double-traced branches when users try to extend branches on existing river network has now been fixed.

MIKE URBAN

 

This hotfix solves an issue found with the SWMM5 to MOUSE result conversion tool and you should install it if you need to convert a SWMM result file to a MOUSE result file. Without this hotfix the tool will show a ‘Range check error’ message.

This hotfix corrects an issue where the statistics tool in the Data Manager may calculate a wrong mean value.

Below hotfixes all require that Service Pack 4 is installed prior to applying the hotfix.

MIKE 11

 

This hotfix is required when utilising Weighting function for forecasting and updating in the Data Assimilation module in combination with HD Hotstart. It solves a problem with incorrect correction discharges calculated immediately after the end of the applied observation data timeseries, and hence, occasionally less accurate results after Time of Forecast.

MIKE 21 & MIKE 3

 

MIKE 21/3 Oil Spill & MIKE 21/3 Particle Tracking: This hotfix solves a problem where the grid and wind field rotation was not correctly considered for particle movement.

MIKE 21/3 Hotfix 05-07-2011 (6.8 MB)

MIKE 21/3 Oil Spill: This hotfix solves a problem where the wind and the flow fields are falsely considered to not cover the same area even if they apparently match.

MIKE 21/3 Hotfix 24-06-2011 (3.8 MB)

This hotfix solves an issue related to the MPI versions of the flexible mesh models . The symptom is an Illegal Instruction crash during the partitioning phase of the simulation. The problem dependend on the processor type and it has been observed on certain Intel Core 2 processors.

MIKE URBAN

 

This hotfix solves an issue related to the opening of a MIKE URBAN setup in Chinese, Japanese, Russian or other non-ANSII operating systems and was causing a crash when the User Name contained Chinese or Japanese characters.

MIKE URBAN Hotfix 18-07-2011 (2.1 MB)

This hotfix solves an issue in Import/Export functionality (post process network topology). Due to changes in ArcGIS 10.0, geometric networks were ignoring "snap" parameter during post processing. This issue appeared in MIKE URBAN 2011.

Below hotfixes all require that Service Pack 3 is installed prior to applying the hotfix.

MIKE FLOOD

 

This hotfix is required when utilizing the a 64 bit operating system in conjunction with MIKE SHE or MIKE FLOOD simulations where MIKE 11 model is using Hotstart as initial condition. In this case a temporary file is created and attempted to be saved in a system folder which is write protected for some users.

MIKE FLOOD Hotfix 18-05-2011 (4.2 MB)

This hotfix solves an issue related to the MOUSE result summary that could not be created for setups where URBAN weirs were linked to MIKE 21 in MIKE FLOOD and was causing a crash at the start of the coupled simulation.

MIKE FLOOD Hotfix 03-05-2011 (2.1 MB)

This hotfix is required when utilizing the a 64 bit operating system in conjunction with MIKE SHE or MIKE FLOOD simulations where MIKE 11 model is using Hotstart as initial condition. In this case a temporary file is created and attempted to be saved in a system folder which is write protected for some users.

MIKE SHE Hotfix 18-05-2011 (4.2 MB)

This hot-fix solves an issue related to the MIKE SHE – MOUSE coupling on a 64-bit pc. When running a coupled MIKE SHE WM – MOUSE simulation under 64-bit, the process doesn’t terminate correctly but has to be stopped from the Windows Task Manager. When doing this, the MOUSE result file is not closed properly, causing problems when trying to open the file with MIKE View.

This hotfix solves an issue related to the MOUSE result summary that could not be created for setups where urban weirs were linked to MIKE 21 in MIKE FLOOD and was causing a crash at the start of the coupled simulation.

MIKE ZERO

 

Fixes a problem with the Climate Change editor, where certain combinations of GCM, CO2 emission scenarios and year lead to a wrong average when several GCM’s are selected.

MIKE Zero Hotfix 18-05-2011 (757.8 KB)

Fixes a problem where the license system in some cases ceases to work due to an internal communication error. Symptoms are that e.g. Computational engines revert to demo mode or terminate with (for example) the error message “Error in license system component”.

Below hotfixes all require that Service Pack 1 is installed prior to applying the hotfix.

MIKE SHE

 

The hot-fix solves the following issues:
- Error in the Particle Tracking registration option, define registration zones by lenses, because the lower levels of the registration lenses were not passed correctly from the PreProcessor to the Water Quality engine.
- Issues when utilizing MIKE SHE through the OpenMI interface: Timeout problem and wrong flows passed from WM to WQ when using the coupled MIKE SHE WM-WQ component.
